For eight years, David has documented the extreme 4x4 off-road and mud-racing community at Proving Grounds in Lebanon, Maine. Proving Grounds is a 500-acre private venue deep in the woods where off-road and mudding enthusiasts convene and compete. Tri-annual, multi-day events run 24/7—mud racing and romping by day; private parties and debauchery by night. David was drawn to document the unique lifestyle of this distinctly American subculture. This publication is a culmination of his experience.
